Aurora Food Pantry Gets Boost from Aurora Residents, OPUS Homes

When we stumbled upon Anna Lozyk Romeo’s Living in Aurora  blog, we were impressed.  She had so wonderfully captured the unique qualities and community spirit of Aurora in her exquisite photos and writing.

Her passion for Aurora sparked our imagination, and we asked her if we could include some of her photos and stories in our Aurora Trails Boutique.  To our delight, she agreed, and even offered to produce a lovely community video, which highlights the many events, parks, natural spaces and amazing culture in Aurora.  She also sought out a local composer, Glenn Marais to give us the perfect soundtrack to accompany her photos.

In exchange for all her hard work, Anna asked for us to make a donation to the Aurora Food Pantry, a generous request that we were more than happy to do.

The Aurora Food Pantry assists families in need, providing food and the necessities of life, and has so done for over 25 years in the community of Aurora.  In fact, we were interested to learn that in the summer, donations are typically down, and so there is a need for cash donations to assist them in purchasing food.

We were so pleased to do this for the community, for Anna, and for the Aurora Food Pantry. Even with donations, they could still use your help! You can run a Food Drive, Donate at local Supermarkets and Fire Stations, or Volunteer.  Click here to learn more.
