A Holiday Tradition – Roasted Chestnuts

There’s nothing like the taste of roasted chestnuts on a cold wintery day.  This healthy and warming food is ideal in soups, stews, and also delicious raw.

Preparing chestnuts is easy.  Simply score the outer shell, (otherwise, they will explode!) with a sharp paring knife or special tool, and roast in a 350 degree oven for 25mins.

Peel promptly when they are cool enough to handle, and enjoy.
