OPUS Proud to Contribute to 2C Landowners Hospital Donation

This past week OPUS Homes was pleased to be part of the Aurora 2C Landowners Group, as they made a $750,000 contribution to the Southlake Regional Hospital Foundation.  The presentation was held at a small reception that was well attended by the developer, TACC Developments, and the various builders in the 2C Landowners Group, as well as representatives from the Town of Aurora and the SouthLake Regional Hospital Foundation.

Mayor Geoff Dawe was a special guest of honour, as he was instrumental in organizing the donation, which will be split between Southlake’s Images for Life, a diagnostic imagaing technology campaign, and to support the future priority needs of the hospital.

The 2C lands, of which Aurora Trails is a part, will comprise the last large development in Aurora.  A community over 20 years in the making, it is a huge achievement for the developers, city planners, consultants, environmentalists, and residents alike.  It includes many eco features: 15km of trails, 40% environmental protection areas, an urban wildlife park, conservation areas for both plants and wildlife, and includes approxximately 3,000 residences.

“We wish to express our gratitude to both the Residents and Town Council of Aurora, for their warm welcome to this community, and we are delighted to have an opportunity to give back in a meaningful way through the Southlake Regional Hospital Foundation donation,” said Andrea DeGasperis-Ronco, President of OPUS Homes.
