Last week, the\u00a0Vaughan Chamber of Commerce<\/a>\u00a0celebrated and announced their Business Achievement Awards, and Andrea DeGasperis-Ronco, Principal of\u00a0OPUS Homes<\/a><\/strong>, received the Young Entrepreneur Under 40 Award!<\/p>\n

The Young Entrepreneur Under 40 Award recognizes business owners operating in Vaughan with superior business acumen, social awareness, and those who contribute greatly to the Vaughan community.<\/p>\n

DeGasperis-Ronco\u2019s family has a background in construction, and after spending a decade in the industry, she decided to start something of her own. When she launched OPUS Homes in 2010, it was her goal to build high quality communities while taking the stress out of the homebuying process, and it\u2019s clear that she\u2019s succeeding.<\/p>\n

The Newinhomes.com team has been to more than one OPUS Homes opening over the last five years, and we have to say, we\u2019ve probably seen DeGasperis-Ronco on the sales floor more than any other principal in the industry. She offers her personal attention and advice, taking a more caring, down-to-earth approach to selling a home. It\u2019s not even just about selling a home for OPUS Homes, it\u2019s about building a real community.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”1188″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Last year at the final opening of Aurora Trails<\/a>\u00a0(now sold out), hundreds of buyers lined up for hours. People were even arriving days before to secure their spot in line. It was a crisp June morning and there was a sense of urgency in the air.<\/p>\n

We popped into the OPUS sales centre to check out how the crowds were responding to the new home offerings and then DeGasperis-Ronco made an announcement. A new crowd had just been let in through the front doors, and the first thing she did was ask the crowd if anyone needed to use the washroom.<\/p>\n

We know that doesn\u2019t sound like a big deal, but we\u2019ve never seen that happen before, and we\u2019ve been to our fair share of openings. The fact that she was aware that people had been waiting a long time and was concerned that they may be uncomfortable shows what kind of person and what kind of business owner she is.<\/p>\n

From that point on, the crowd browsed in a relaxed manner and there was a calm atmosphere throughout the sales centre. DeGasperis-Ronco instantly treated these people like people and not like prospective purchasers, and sometimes that\u2019s the difference between being successful and unsuccessful.<\/p>\n

Glen Ridge Estates is a collection of 28 exquisite estate homes that will be launching in Aurora this June, with prices starting at $1.7 million.
