A Showroom Tour at Anatolia Tile\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n We visited Anatolia Tile<\/strong> at their massive warehouse and gallery recently for a sneak peek into what\u2019s cool with tile.\u00a0 Tile is an element, just like paint colours or hardwood flooring, that can really customize a home, making it yours and yours alone. \u00a0Anatolia’s Business Development Manager, Andrew Campoli<\/em> had a few suggestions for those looking to be \u2018on trend\u2019 this year:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022 Tile sizes are changing from the standard 12\u201dx12\u201d or 13\u201dx13\u201d.\u00a0 Look for 12\u201dx24\u201d, 18\u201dx36\u201d or 24\u201dx48\u201d rectangular tiles. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022 Keep those rectangular tiles straight-stacked, rather than staggered.<\/span><\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”1758″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n \u2022 Grey is a very popular colour now, in keeping with a more modern design aesthetic. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022 Porcelain tiles in a wood-like finish carry very well from the foyer, right through to the kitchen, and provide the durability of tile, with the look (and even feel!) of real wood.<\/span><\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”1759″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n \u2022 Look for matte finishes for floors, keep the polished tiles for walls.\u00a0 Since stand alone tubs are increasing in popularity, it\u2019s unusual to see tiled tub decks.<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022 Edges matter.\u00a0 Look for a straight, crisp edge, rather than the rounded edges of the past.\u00a0 You see less grout for a much cleaner look.<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022 For backsplashes, we\u2019re seeing new tile shapes: arabesque and coins, and glass subway tiles in 3\u201dx12: or 4\u201dx10\u201d, but remember your straight-stack!<\/span><\/p>\n During our tour, we also had an opportunity to peek in on some designs in progress.
