With a deep-rooted passion for design, Kimberly is the in-house Decor Studio Manager for OPUS Homes. Having graduated with Honours in Interior Design, she diligently mastered her trade through twelve years of accumulated experience in the design and home building industry. During that time Kimberly developed and operated an in-house decor and customer service program for a highly-regarded home builder. A creative jack of all trades, she has been involved in multiple operational functions within the home building process. This fresh-faced and highly qualified team member oversees the d\u00e9cor function with a finely tuned knowledge of the entire operational process which allows her to guide clients through the maze of construction with ease.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”763″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Spanish poet Pedro Calder\u00f3n de la Barca once said: \u201cGreen is the prime color of the world and that from which loveliness arises.\u201d The Pantone color of 2017 is green and there is no better time to highlight this hue than now.<\/p>\n

The month of March seems to be dedicated to this particular shade. St. Patrick\u2019s Day festivities paint the town green and this is the month that also ushers in the spring season bringing this lush and leafy color back into the natural environment.<\/p>\n

Benjamin Moore highlights shades of green for interiors and exteriors in a number of ways. Taking inspiration from the runway, this pigment can be seen in mixed patterns from wallpapers to d\u00e9cor accents. It also evident in fabric designs depicting plants and leaves as well as faux foliage in decorative elements. Bright green paint, of course, is also trending being used to refresh and revitalize with colours inspired by both fashion and art.<\/p>\n

Green is more than just a color, it is also a way of living which is demonstrated in d\u00e9cor ideas. Everything old is new again with reclaimed wood and materials being used for furniture and accessories and by repurposing or upcycling existing items in the home.
