On May 2nd, in a room filled with family and friends, Andrea DeGasperis-Ronco will be celebrating her grandfather’s incredible achievements as he accepts the 2019 Philanthropic Business Person of the Year award at this year’s Vaughan Business Achievement Awards.
Andrea’s incredible work ethic, loyalty and integrity were handed down to her from her grandfather- Giovanni DeGasperis- an icon in the building industry. Most commonly known as Papa John, Giovanni’s handshake was his word- it meant a promise, a commitment and indicated trust.
Committed to excellence, Giovanni DeGasperis, along with his sons Silvio, Carlo and Michael, founded TACC Construction in 1977 and quickly became one of the most respected men in the construction industry.
Giving back to the community through various charitable programs is of the utmost importance to the DeGasperis family- and something that Andrea has continued on from her grandfather. From Mackenzie Health and United Way of York Region to the Vaughan Food Bank and Villa Colombo Charities, their philanthropic work is what they remain most proud of.
