Aurora, a community of trails

Even though it’s a city rooted in history, Aurora is ahead of the curve in many ways.  Decades of planning by forward thinking Aurorans has ‘paved’ the way for an amazing trail system, stretching across the city, from the Oak Ridges Moraine right through to Newmarket.  New connections are being made yearly, and the community of Aurora Trails is no exception.

Home to many distinct species of plant and wildlife, Aurora has maintained its’ wild spaces for future generations to enjoy.  Trails and parks are uniquely designed, offering lookout points and paths that are protective of plants and nesting birds.

Within Aurora Trails, neighbourhoods are connected by paths throughout, making them extremely easy to navigate north to south, east to west, winding up at parks, ponds, and the Stronach Centre.

Living in Aurora Trails makes travelling by bicycle or by foot fun, and staying fit is easy!  To see the existing trails system in Aurora, check out this map!
