March Break 2016 Events in Your Area

It’s almost here! March Break is a great time to work a little less and play a little more.  If you’re wondering what to do in your community, here are a few highlights for kids big and small.

BRAMPTON

The City of Brampton has a variety of March Break programs, including drop in programs, which are perfect for the parents who aren’t into planning. There are some great options for kids who like to swim and skate.

For those who have an interest in the arts, may we suggest PAMA?  Drop in all week and see what’s shaking: There’s yoga, storytelling & plays, history, and even dancing.

Playdium is always a fun place for those who love the thrill of gaming.  There’s even a March Break special.

RICHMOND HILL

The Town of Richmond Hill has tons of great programs, in addition to public skating.  These programs are for kids of all ages, even tweens and teens, who are sometimes hard to please!

Here’s an idea parents will enjoy too: roll with March Break at World Bowl:  they have special pricing for March Break, and who doesn’t love the goofy shoes!

One final idea in Richmond Hill that will get you out of the cold, try the Wave Pool.  Excitement abounds with waves, soak in the warm water of the swirl pool, or ride the thrilling 160 ft. twisting water slide!

WHITBY

In Whitby, the Town has great activities planned for families, including swimming and skating.

For parents with kids that need to let some steam off, may we suggest Kids Zone Durham? This indoor gym is the perfect place to run around, and also has an arcade, laser tag and a snack bar.

As well, families all over Durham Region can take advantage of OPG’s March Break Madness, many activities are free and educational.

AURORA

This year, the Town of Aurora has swimming, skating and rock climbing, fitness and camps throughout March Break.  Add some of these great activities to your plans.

Princes and Princesses will enjoy Duffle bag Theatre Co’s presentation of Cinderella, at the Aurora Cultural Centre, as well as a host of other exciting events throughout the March Break:

Aurora Public Library has a variety of events happening, including fun and games which is a free drop in.

A few other ideas for adventuring families:

March is Maple Syrup time! Visit your local sugar bush for delicious treats and to learn all about the practice of harvesting syrup.

There’s no mystery that Black Creek Pioneer Village has a great program for kids this March Break, and kids are free with adult admission.  Experience the Sherlock Holmes mystery event happening all week.

March Break at the Zoo – Experience the zoo this March Break! There are always great things happening including meeting some new animal babies.

For fans young and old, Comic Con is coming back to Toronto! From March 18-20th.

And finally, if you’re tired out and looking to stay busy at home, here are a few ideas to see you through some blustery March weather:
• Make your own pizzas
• Decorate your own cup cakes
