Where DOES the time go? It seems like just yesterday we were envisioning our company values, and today, we’re living the dream…
When we set out, we wanted to be a ‘different kind of home builder’. We described the ways in which we wanted to make our mark, and the ways in which we would stand out from our competition. They were simple ideas, really.
We wanted our homes to stand out architecturally and to be better built. So, we created our distinctive architectural look using a collection of standard finishes that are normally a builder’s upgrade. This includes the use of brick and stone throughout our communities, architecturally-distinct elevations, 8’ entry doors, carriage-style garage doors, and more.
Inside, we wanted you to feel dazzled by your finishes, so you wouldn’t have to replace them right away. We found that the normal fixtures around builders’ homes often of such poor quality that people wanted to replace them immediately. So, we set the bar higher on finishes. The OPUS Homes Signature Finishes are a collection of interior finishes and fixtures including: limestone fireplace surrounds, stand alone tubs, upgraded lighting, trendy lever door handles, and much more.
But most importantly, we wanted to provide a new level of service to our discerning clients. To that end, our Team has worked tirelessly to communicate regularly with our clients, through Framewalks, and through our Client Care Workshops to fulfill our Living Refined Promise: “From our family to yours, when you choose OPUS Homes to build your home, your faith in us is never taken for granted. And finally, as parents ourselves, we wanted to make a difference in the communities that we build in, and to the environment. To that end, we created two programs: Go Green, which offers a variety of sustainable options, as well as better on-site waste management; and Families Helping Families, which makes a donation to local charities in lieu of the typical builder closing gift.
Where are we five years later? We have built homes nearly 300 homes. Our projects include: Endeavour in Whitby, River’s Edge, Upper Mount Pleasant and ValleyLands in Brampton, Aurora Trails in Aurora, and DeQuincy Blvd in Toronto. Our valued clients love our amazing Client Care and our homes continue to exceed their expectations over and over again.
