For those who like to stay on top of the design trends, there’s even new stuff in the world of brick! At a recent Brampton Brick event, some new styles were unveiled:

While Wyndam and Westmount still reign as today’s most popular colours in brick, watch out for some surprising newcomers: Pastels!  Colours are expected to take a lighter turn, and it’s going to be a refreshing change.  Look for hints of pale blue, lavender, and even shades of pink.  Don’t worry, the experts at Brampton Brick are telling us that the colours will be subtle!

We will also be seeing more of the same: classic grey and taupe, and also intense colour: espresso and black will also play a leading role, with fully coated brick using less flashing.  A more contemporary look is coming to the streets of the GTA, with straighter, cleaner edges as well.

As well, look for new stone blends that feature horizontal colour patterns, in contrast to the usual vertical styles.

What will this mean for home buyers in 2015 and beyond? An ever increasing array of colours and styles to choose from, with plenty of selection of the classics, but some new concepts that add bold colour or even a bit of whimsy.
