Healthy Living in Aurora

The Town of Aurora is trying to make its mark as “Canada’s Most Active Community” through a campaign called Activate Aurora. It is a campaign designed to promote the importance of physical literacy and create a collective movement to lead an active and healthy lifestyle.

The campaign is being launched on September 18th at the Aurora Family Leisure Complex. The event kicks off at 12:30pm and will feature an interactive sport expo showcasing over 20 local sport and athletic clubs that will be demonstrating ways to increase activity levels.

Much like the Town of Aurora, OPUS Homes wants to create a legacy of building healthy and vibrant communities that help our homeowners lead a healthier, active lifestyle. That is why all our communities are located near sports and recreation facilities and other amenities to help residents stay active, keep fit and have fun.

Glen Ridge Estates and Aurora Trails, our new homes communities in Aurora, are nestled among an amazing trail system (stretching across the city, from the Oak Ridges Moraine right through to Newmarket), which makes staying active and fit, year round, easy. Snowshoeing or tobogganing; cycling, hiking or walking through the trails, enjoying views of woodlots, ponds and conservation land is beneficial to not only a healthy physical state, but a mental one as well.

OPUS Homes firmly believes that living in a healthy home also contributes to our homeowners’ overall happiness and well-being. That is why we established our ‘Go-Green’ initiatives to ensure that the homes we build promote a healthier environment for our homeowners and their families.
